Christopher has just shown the Overlord the extent of the power he wields as the Champion, and he is only going to become stronger! This has had an impact and the Overlord has decided that he must put a stop to it by traveling into the past! Erasing Christopher before he begins his journey, eliminating his ability to Step In for the first time, is the only way to keep him from becoming the person he is destined to be! For the Overlord, the only way forward -- is back! Christopher must now protect the one individual he never expected to meet -- Himself!

PREVIEW:

Christopher hit the ground hard, but in complete control. As before, he landed with one foot in front of the other and in a slightly crouched position that had him ready to run or fight in any direction if the situation so required it. Without turning his head, his eyes moved about, focused on his immediate surroundings. The cloudy sky above, the light feeling of mist in the wind, and the elegant glow of a setting or rising sun had set the stage for whatever might be shrouded into the mystery of this new world. Perceiving no immediate danger, Christopher stood up straight and continued to look deeper into his surroundings to hopefully identify his next move. He looked down at the turf beneath his feet, lined and numbered in descending order and recognized that he was standing at the fifty-yard line of a high school football field, and he was all alone. Well…. not completely alone. On one side of the field, he saw a paved street and occasionally a single car would pass by driving in one direction or the other. It felt familiar, but the first car definitely gave him a start. He took note of it and continued adding to his discovery. There were several very large pine trees that were visible in every direction. Not the way a dense forest might appear but strategically set between and around an organized arrangement of middle-income housing structures. Christopher thought to himself, “Hmmm….” Again, he locked that in and kept looking. He turned in the opposite direction and noticed a clearly defined set of tennis courts, baseball fields, parking lots, and….. “A school?” Christopher suddenly felt the air of familiarity and knew where he was standing. Whatever cosmological event lured him to this world was about to make this the weirdest jump since the day he first stepped into the vortex – a journey that he now knew began not far from the point where Christopher had landed. He felt a warm and disturbing wave of concern rush through him as he fully recognized that where he was standing was the property of his old High School. Not knowing when was definitely still in question, but there could be no mistaking where…. Christopher was home!
