Sneak Peek:

Moments Later.....

SPLASH! Christopher came in hot, landing in a churning ocean with swells higher than anything he had ever seen back home. Christopher was not a good swimmer, and this massive jostling body of water would give the best swimmers a fight for their lives. In his last two jumps he had finally found himself landing upright and in control, but that was on land. This was an ocean that seemed to have no end, nor any love for anyone who might enter. Christopher began to panic as his body bobbed up and down within the water like a bobber on a fishing line. Each time he came up for air, waves crashed down to drive him deep below the surface before he could once again rise, and a full gulp of air could be had. Up and down.... up and down.... Christopher was in full panic when he remembered, “I’m a shapeshifter!” Quickly he thought of the first thing that came to his mind, “Fish.” That tingling sensation came over him once again, as he sucked in a final gulp of ocean water, choking it all up at once as he dropped below the surface for what he believed would be his final time. In his mind, this time would be his last. That's when he felt himself taking a huge breath into his lungs where he held it for a moment and then released it to clear them out. He repeated that maneuver and realized, “I am breathing!” There could not have been a more apropos moment in time to remember that he is the Champion. And below the surface was much calmer than above or on its edge. At least that is what he thought?
